Building, campus improvements enhance discipleship, ministries in Southwest
Continue ReadingThe church began in 1968 as Lakewood Evangelical Free Church when 11 families began to pray about starting a new church in the area. The group met initially in an elementary school until 1973, when they constructed their first facility.
In the late 1990s, the church purchased property in Lake Elmo, a suburb on the outskirts of St. Paul. About a decade later, the church changed its name to Rockpoint Church and plans were put in place for a new facility.
“We built a new building 10 years ago and financed debt through CIF, We recently held a capital campaign to eliminate debt and used CIF as consulting help.”
Wes Oren
Executive Pastor of Rockpoint Church
The capital campaign that CIF helped develop for Rockpoint proved to be successful.
“We have reduced debt to below $1.2 million, and we have commitments for more than $2 million with the capital campaign,” said Oren. In addition, Oren said offerings have increased 7 percent per year.
Fifty years after its founding, Rockpoint continues to impact its community for Christ. CIF loves its role as a ministry partner with the church and looks forward to how God will bless it in the next 50 years.
“CIF has experienced professionals that can guide you through financial decision-making to be better stewards,” Oren concluded.
